Model Model Synthetic Wigs (Review)

by Philippa Lane

I was given the wonderful opportunity to review a few wigs from Model Model Wigs and I would like to share with you what I think about them.

“Brook” Synthetic Baby Hair Lace Front Wig: This is the first lace front wig that I have ever reviewed. It is a very long wig that comes in many different colors. This one is the #4 color, which is a medium brown. When I first put this wig on, I noticed that the wefts on the wig that hold the tracks of hair showed through the cap. It is not easy to hide this flaw and the wig needs more hair on the tracks to fill in the horrible gaps. I am not saying that all of the “Brook” Wigs are like this, but maybe I just got a defective one. To make the wig a little bit shorter, I cut the wig a few inches and cut the long pieces of hair in the front to create wispy bangs, because I thought that it would make the wig look nicer on me. I tried to hide the tracks by maneuvering some hair, placing it in a clip near the back of the wig, and letting some pieces of hair fall loosely on each side of my face. Doing this has made the wig look so much better, but I still cannot wear the wig without a clip, because so many tracks show through.  Price: $29.00

“Blue Hawaii” Half Wig Drawstring: This is the first half-wig that I have owned. The “Blue Hawaii” Half Wig is a very long wavy wig and is safe to use a curling iron on up to 400 degrees. It comes with a drawstring and small, attached combs, so that it can be adjusted to be worn loosely to let your own hair blend with the half wig or you can put your own hair in a bun and place the wig onto the bun while pulling on a drawstring to tighten the wig around the bun so that it will look like a long pony tail. The only drawback with this wig is that the color does not match my hair color, which is my fault, because I picked the wrong color. I highly recommend this half wig to anyone who wants a wig that can provide two different and unique looks. Price: $17.97

“Water Lily” Full Wig: Now, this is my favorite wig from Model Model. It looks so natural and feels so wonderful. I have received so many compliments when I have worn this wig.  It is a wavy, long, and flowing full cap wig and I have it in the color: P4/30, which is a medium brown with Carmel highlights. The curls on this wig are long and beautiful with a cascading side bang that flows to the side, which I liked very much when I first wore it, but then I cut some bangs into the wig and liked it even more. The wig fits perfectly on my head, I do not need to adjust the elastic bands that are attached to the wig, and it does not slide off of my head after I have worn it for a while. There are times when I have worn a wig for an extended period of time, the cap would begin to slide or not fit right on my head, but this wig does not need any adjustments at all, fitting perfectly, like it was made just for me. It is not really shiny, instead it has a natural sheen that looks realistic and healthy. I am so pleased with this wig and give it a 5 star rating. Highly recommended! Love it! Price: $17.95
